What is Suntex Marinas?

SUNTEX MARINA is the leading owner, operator and developer of high-quality coastal and inland marina properties located throughout the United States. Led by a management team with more than 100 years combined experience investing in, acquiring, and operating marinas, Suntex currently employs more than 60 people in its corporate office and over 1200 on-site at its marinas. We operate Liberty Landing Marina in Jersey City, NJ and Marina Jack in Sarasota, FL, both of which have been awarded “Marina of the Year” by Marina Dock Age, so we fully understand the intricacies of operating world class marina facilities.

Is Suntex Marinas a "Clean Marina"?

We believe that marina owners and operators should serve our industry as good stewards of the aquatic marine environment. We have chosen to lead by example. We voluntarily initiated and implemented a set of environmental Best Management Practices (BMP) designed by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to preserve Florida's waterways. These BMPs address critical environmental issues such as sensitive habitat, waste management, storm water control, spill prevention, and emergency preparedness.

Do you have wet slips?

Suntex Marina - Riviera Beach does not have wet slips. We do have branded locations nearby that offer wet slips in Palm Beach Gardens, Lantana, and South Lantana.

What is the depth of the marina or approach to the marina at low tide?

Average depth at mean low tide is 6 feet.

Do you have dry storage?

We do have hurricane-rated (140 mph wind) dry storage at Suntex Marina - Riviera Beach for vessels up to 5-0 feet. We feature the largest marine forklifts in the world and can lift up to 52,000 pounds. Even if you don't keep your vessel at our Riviera Beach location, we encourage you to visit to experience this unique building and the giant forklifts.

We also have several other dry storage marinas in the Suntex Marina family, including St. Petersburg, Daytona Beach, Lantana, and Miami.

Do you rent boats?

We do not rent boats at our marina. If you are interested in a charter boat, we can assist you with arrangements. Charters may come into our marina to pick up clients. We can also assist you in finding local rental boat companies.

How do I get to Suntex Marina - Riviera Beach?

Suntex Marina - Riviera Beach is easily accessible by land. From I-95, exit at Blue Heron Blvd. and head east. Go across U.S. 1 and at the next stoplight before the Blue Heron Bridge, turn left heading north. The marina is directly in front of you. The harbormaster's office is located on the north side of the building.

You can access Suntex Marina - Riviera Beach by water from the north by heading south on the Intracoastal Waterway through Lake Worth. Turn right heading west in the last marked channel prior to the Blue Heron Bridge. The marina is visible from the Intracoastal Waterway in the copper-yellow building. If you are coming from the Lake Worth Inlet, follow the channel markers around Peanut Island heading north. Go under the Blue Heron Bridge. At the first marked channel on the left (west), turn into the marina. Again, the marina is visible from the Intracoastal Waterway.

What are the hours for Suntex Marina - Riviera Beach?

We are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week. All Suntex Marina locations are closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.

What do I do if there is an after-hours emergency?

The marina office phones are forwarded nightly to an answering service. The service will contact the harbormaster or another Suntex Marina official in the event of an emergency. If the incident involves an injury or the law is being broken, please dial 911. A call to the marina office will also be appreciated (561-840-6868).

What is the closest airport?


Palm Beach International Airport provides both domestic and international flight service from most major carriers. The directions are as follows:

From I-95: From both northbound and southbound I-95, follow the airport signs. The airport is located just south of downtown West Palm Beach.

From the Florida Turnpike: From the north, take the Okeechobee Blvd. exit and go east (approximately 3 to 4 miles) to Congress Avenue. Turn right (south) on Congress Avenue and continue to Belvedere Road. Proceed straight ahead across Belvedere Road to the north entrance of the airport. From the south, take Southern Blvd. exit #97 and head east approximately 5 miles to Australian Avenue. Take Australian Avenue north and proceed to the airport entrance on your left.

Do you allow liveaboards?

Suntex Marina - Riviera Beach does not allow liveaboards. Condominiums are available for sale on-site if you are looking for a home adjacent to your boat. Please check with our harbormaster for more information.

Do you offer new or used boat sales?

We do not offer new or used boat sales at Suntex Marina - Riviera Beach. Please feel free, however, to contact our harbormaster for assistance regarding sales, boat rentals, charters, or other leasing opportunities.

Do you sell gas or diesel?

Suntex Marina - Riviera Beach sells Valv-Tect 90 octane non-ethanol gasoline and diesel. In fact, we offer our members a discount on fuel. Contact the harbormaster for more information.

Do you sell bait?

We stock frozen bait on-site.

Are there any good fishing locations near you?

Fishing in Palm Beach County is arguably some of the best in the world. The winter sailfish bite, and the spring mahi-mahi runs and skyrocketing kingfish are all found in abundance. Offshore fishing includes dolphin, marlin, sailfish, grouper, snapper, kingfish, cobia, wahoo, bluefish, and assorted sharks. Inshore fishing spots include Munyon Island, which is visible from the marina, with favorite catches of pompano, jack, croaker, permit, bonefish, and snapper.

Do you have on-site pump-out service? How do I arrange for pump-out service?

Pump-out service is available at our fuel dock.

How far away is the beach?

Suntex Marina - Riviera Beach is less than 1 mile from the beach. Depart the marina and walk, ride, or drive over the Blue Heron Bridge. Go straight ahead for two blocks and you will find a wide public access beach.

Are there any beaches or islands nearby that we can drop anchor and swim?

Peanut Island is a local favorite for boats of all sizes. The island includes campgrounds, a snorkeling lagoon, BBQ pits, a fishing pier, and restrooms. Access is directly west of the Lake Worth Inlet. Simply head south on the Intracoastal Waterway, and after passing under the 65-foot Blue Heron Bridge, pick a spot.

For locals who live north, enjoy the "Sand Bar" located due west of the Jupiter Inlet. Head due west of the inlet into the Loxahatchee River basin and south of the channel, there you'll see hundreds of boats filled with people enjoying hundreds of yards of sandy flats. Music, Frisbees, and footballs fill the air. For additional directions or locations, check with your harbormaster.

Are there any areas close by to go water-skiing?

You can water-ski directly out of the marina into Lake Worth. Heavy boat traffic on the weekends can cause a safety hazard. Water-skiers tend to stay closer to the western and northern edges of Lake Worth. Talk to your harbormaster about tides and shifting sandbars that can lead to problems.

Are there any restaurants on the water that I can get to?

Many restaurants are accessible by boat including the tourists' favorite, Sailfish Marina. The Riviera Beach Marina Tiki Bar is also minutes away. Other restaurants including the Waterway Café, the Rum Bar, Panama Hattie's, The River House, and the newly opened Seasons 52, are only 25 minutes away. Head north through Lake Worth along the Intracoastal Waterway until you reach PGA Blvd. The previously mentioned restaurants are located north, south, east, and west of the PGA Bridge.

Are there any fixed bridges in the area? Iif so, what is the height limits?

Voyage to the south is via the Blue Heron Bridge with a fixed clearance of 65 feet. Heading north through the Intracoastal Waterway you encounter bridges at U.S. 1 in North Palm Beach and PGA Blvd. Check with your harbormaster for updated bridge opening schedules. The following are the current schedules: Parker Bridge on the quarter-hour and three-quarter hour; PGA Bridge on the hour and half-hour; Donald Ross Bridge on the hour and half-hour; Indiantown Road Bridge on the hour and half-hour; and the U.S. 1 Bridge is on demand.
